"CIVILITY"

Here's a project with many names - filmed as "The Day October Died," it was released as both "Malicious Intent" and "Civility." You choose. This was a fun project, and working with Ed Lauter was such a blast - for someone who plays bad guys a lot, he is quite charming with his whistling and Jimmy Cagney impressions. It was a shame we had to set him on fire - and kudos go out to stuntman Terry James and his team for taking the burn - all I had to do was press a button =)

There were two nice scenes of brains getting shot out in which I used a pneumatic device to spray blood and guts from behind the actors' heads - but I don't have any stills of those scenes. If you ever rent the DVD you'll see them. Aside from that there were many bullet hits and weapons work.
