"KOOL Blizzard"

KOOL FM (94.5) wanted it to snow inside a car for a promotional TV spot - from the stereo speakers!

The story is that it is so hot in Phoenix during the summer, and the music on KOOL FM is so COOL that it will snow out of the speakers.

This project was a lot of fun, and I only had one day to rig the car due to another concurrent project. On top of that, I couldn't damage the car at all. It turns out that even fine fake snow will get stuck in standard speaker grills, at the last minute I had to make fake speaker grills fro the tweaters - and if you look close you can see the screws. In retrospect, it would have been better to build over-scale speakers for an insert shot - but there was no time or budget to allow for that.

You'd be amazed at the places the snow (thanks SnoBiz!) found its way into in the car. Hmm, no shots of the snow blower and hopper system - I must've forgotten.
